When she founded Feed My Sheep, a nonprofit dedicated to working with the community to feed the hungry in body, mind and spirit, CEO Joyce Kawakami launched a unique mobile food distribution program. Feed My Sheep takes food to neighborhoods each week, passing out bags of groceries to anyone in need and offering a listening ear and compassion. Joyce was nominated by one of her clients, Joseph DeLoache, who said Joyce and her organization have consistently supported him in times of need and helped him make strides in his life thanks to their donations and caring. The motto of Feed My Sheep is “we don’t have clients, we have friends” and Joyce has been a friend in need to many in Maui.
