Rosalie Yoshida is a shining star in the Foster Grandparent Program, where she has been a volunteer since 2009. A retired school teacher, Rosie loves children, and currently spends quality time with them at a local preschool. Not only does she provide fun crafts and activities for the children, she also provides workshops for preschool staff. Rosie goes above and beyond to create special experiences for Maui’s keiki, including recently setting up a marine life exhibit at the Kaiser Clinic lobby in Wailuku. Projects like this are what makes Rosie truly special. She is a beloved kupuna, and at the beautiful age of 84, she is a hero to the Foster Grandparent Program and the keiki it serves.
