With a fire in her heart and dedication to her friends and families, June Harper helped raise more than $100,000 for an acquaintance whose 18-month-old son was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2014. Despite her already busy schedule, the longtime Maui resident, mother of two young boys and small business owner created a Facebook page and a fundraising page for Joshua and Shauna Dukes and their son Trucker. She encouraged donors to draw a picture of a fire truck to encourage Trucker, which sparked a chain of donations across the state and the world. June’s selfless and creative fundraising efforts were recognized by Page One Marketing & Design, among many others.
