The Haku Baldwin Center nominates Loretta Spencer as a volunteer hero. The organization provides a range of equine-assisted services to the community and seeks to foster therapeutic partnerships between animals and people.

In 2013, Loretta Spencer began volunteering in two of their programs — the Therapeutic Riding Program and the Horsemanship for Veterans Program. She has contributed over 650 hours of volunteer service helping youth with special needs and providing weekly lessons to veteran military service members.

During their center closure from the pandemic, Loretta remained dedicated to helping the organization. She continued participating by attending virtual classes to further her equine education. While recognized for her hard work, she is also known for her spirited and joyful character. During their 2020 Deck the Stalls virtual holiday party, Loretta won the “Most Festive” award for her homemade costume. Loved for her friendly personality, Loretta is a wonderful addition to the Haku Baldwin Center team. She is always ready to step in and lend a hand in any way possible.

The Haku Baldwin Center appreciates Loretta’s dedication and generosity to its organization. For her incredible work, she received a Silver Level President’s Volunteer Service Award. Loretta is a valued member of the team and a true Volunteer Hero.
