Nominations are being accepted for the annual Volunteer Hero Celebration of Service, hosted by the County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns’ Volunteer Center (HandsOn Maui).

Individuals that volunteer with a nonprofit or government volunteer program are eligible to be nominated.

If your organization does not host an annual volunteer recognition event this is a perfect opportunity for you!

The goal of this process is to recognize, honor and celebrate Maui volunteers making a major local impact. These volunteers may have dedicated hundreds of hours of support, filled a unique and pivotal role for a nonprofit organization, went above and beyond the job description, or made a positive change in some way.

“Recognizing Maui’s volunteers is one of our biggest events of the year,” explains Volunteer Center Coordinator, Wendy Stebbins. “Everyone who volunteers their time to help our community is a hero, and the Volunteer Hero Celebration of Service event is the perfect opportunity to assist organizations in showing their sincere gratitude to the individuals whose dedication and commitment truly make a difference in the lives of others.”
