Kristy Gund has made a significant impact on the Maui Nui Marine Resource Council.
Through her dedication and compassion to help others, she is often recognized as a leader. Kristy is always early, ready, and prepared to fulfill all her volunteer duties. Some of these tasks include collecting water samples and recording values in their make-shift car lab. She is always aware of values that might be out of range, and she makes sure that they are accurate in the field. This level of detail makes her a stand-out volunteer.
Kristy has been volunteering with the organization for 4+ years. She is very knowledgeable about site locations and sampling procedures. Throughout this time, Kristy has become a great role model for other Maui volunteers. Her dedication and commitment to the organization speak for themselves. They are so grateful to have her working with them and would love current and future volunteers to follow in her footsteps. Kristy creates a positive atmosphere through her can-do attitude by being more than willing to fulfill all tasks. She welcomes new volunteers and kindly helps them learn the procedures.
