Kats is a wonderful giving individual who has been the guiding light of Organ Transplant Maui, a young non profit organization. Through a prayer group with her church, she read an email about a woman who needed a kidney to survive. Kats was so touched by the email that she became the woman’s living kidney donor. She then became one of the founding members of OTM and is our president and treasurer. Being a new group of only 8 volunteers, Kat has generously given her time to help plan out OTM’s mission, participate in support group meetings, run the board of directors’ monthly meetings, order promotional materials to pass out at health fairs, and offering herself to be the point of contact for anyone interested in OTM. Kats Anderson is an incredible Volunteer Hero who not only leads our OTM support group but also shares her willingness to help others.
